Privacy policy
This page explains the personal information Family Task Hero collects from parents and (with explicit parental consent) from children, why we collect it, how it is used, and how families can review or delete it.

Who we are
Family Task Hero is operated by Vybra App (“Vybra App,” “we,” “us”) — a parent-managed family chore, rewards, and storytelling product available on the web and on iOS. The product is designed for households and is intended to be set up and supervised by a parent or legal guardian.
Vybra App operates from the United States. Questions about this policy or your data can be sent to support@familytaskhero.com, and our mailing address is available on request at that email.
Information we collect
From the parent / account owner
- Email address used to create your account.
- Authentication data (hashed password, session tokens).
- Family name and family workspace settings.
- Profile display name and the avatar pack you choose.
- Apple subscription identifiers and entitlement state (when you subscribe via the iOS app).
- Stripe customer and subscription identifiers (when you subscribe via the web).
- SUPER Premium book purchase records (date, product ID, transaction ID).
- Device IP address and standard request metadata, used for security and abuse prevention.
About each child profile that the parent creates
We never collect data directly from children. The parent or legal guardian enters all of the items below from inside the parent app, after explicitly consenting on a disclosure screen the first time a child profile is added. The parent can edit or remove any of these at any time.
- First name or hero nickname.
- Age.
- Pronouns (optional, used to size summary copy).
- Avatar selection from the in-app art library.
- Mission completions, XP, coins, streak counters.
- Optional photo proofs that you or your child attach to a completed mission.
We do not collect a child's email, phone number, precise location, contacts, browsing data, third-party advertising identifiers, biometric identifiers, or social-network data. Children do not have separate sign-in credentials or external messaging features inside the app.
How we use this information
- To run the parent dashboard, kid mode, and family workspace.
- To track mission progress, XP, coins, streaks, and rewards.
- To generate weekly AI summaries and story content for the family.
- To deliver SUPER Premium books and Family HQ Premium subscription benefits.
- To respond to support requests and prevent abuse of the service.
We do not sell personal information, do not share it with advertisers, and do not use it for targeted advertising or cross-app tracking.
Children and COPPA
Family Task Hero is directed at families and is set up for children ages 5 and older inside a parent-managed workspace. We comply with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Specifically:
- Only a parent or legal guardian can create an account.
- The parent must explicitly acknowledge the data-collection disclosure inside the app before the first child profile is created. We record that consent timestamp on the family record.
- A parent can review, edit, or delete any child profile from the parent app, and can delete the entire account (and all child data) from Settings → Delete Account.
- We do not condition a child's use of the app on disclosing more data than is reasonably necessary, and we do not share child data with third parties for marketing.
To request access to or deletion of a child's information, email support@familytaskhero.com from the parent email on file. We will verify the request before acting on it.
Service providers
We use a small number of trusted vendors to run the service. These vendors process data on our behalf and are not allowed to use it for their own purposes:
- Supabase – database, authentication, and file storage hosting.
- Vercel – hosting and edge delivery for the web app and APIs.
- RevenueCat – iOS subscription and purchase entitlement management.
- Apple – processes iOS payments and subscription billing.
- Stripe – processes web payments and subscription billing.
- Google (Gemini) and OpenAI – generate the AI weekly summaries, story chapters, and story cover art that families request inside the app.
Data retention and deletion
Account data and child profiles are retained for as long as the family workspace is active. When a parent deletes their account from Settings → Delete Account, we immediately remove the family record, all child profiles in that family, mission history, completions, summaries, story books, premium entitlements, and uploaded proof photos, and we delete the parent's authentication record.
Anonymized billing records (transaction ID, last four digits of card, plan, period) may be kept for up to seven years to satisfy legal, tax, and fraud-prevention requirements. Backups are rotated and overwritten on a 30-day cycle.
Security
Family Task Hero uses TLS in transit, encryption at rest for our managed database and storage providers, hashed passwords, and least-privilege service-role keys for server-only operations. No system is perfectly secure; if you become aware of a security issue, please email support@familytaskhero.com.
International users
Vybra App operates Family Task Hero from the United States. By using the service, you consent to processing your information in the United States and any jurisdiction where our service providers operate.
Changes to this policy
We will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page when this policy changes in a material way. If the change affects how we handle child data, we will also notify the parent email on file.
